lyrics

You have the means, but not the ways
You count the weeks, but not the days
Tell me when push comes to shove, tell me I'm thinking too much

You like the twists, but not the turns
You like the rub, but not the burn
Tell me I'm talking too much, tell me it wasn't enough

You like the feel, but not the weight
You like the time, but not the place
Show me what you call your crutch, when the going gets tough

You like the wheel, but not the shape
You love the look, but hate the face
Sleeping the sleep of the just, in ashes and dust

Sooner or later it'll all come together in my hands
Why can't I decipher, or even remember,
The best laid plans of mice and men

You like the plans, but not the schemes
You have the hopes, but not the dreams
You feel like you've lost your touch, so what's left to trust

It may be best for all concerned
That this just be left as a lesson learned
Enough is enough, show me the right stuff

Sooner or later it'll all come together in my hands
Why can't I decipher, or even remember,
The best laid plans of mice and men

Ain't nothing changing around here
Ain't no one needs saving here

about

Better Living Through Chemistry Ottawa, Ontario

Better Living Through Chemistry are a straight up rock band, with clever lyrics and catchy hooks.

They have a bad case of broken strings, cracked cymbals, and buzzing mics. Schooled in the alternative music scene of the 80s and 90s, this band wears their influences (The Replacements, Soul Asylum, Paul Westerberg, among others... ) on their collective sleeves...like badges of honour.
